Queen of Hearts meets Old Roses

Hello Everybody,

On February the 11th 2020 the new stamps from IndigoBlu will be shown on Hochanda by my dear friend Helen.

For the designteam i made serveral projects. This is my mixed media scrap-layout with the Old Rose.
I really wanted to show you that you can use stamps and stamping in a totally different way... for mixed media projects.

I stamped the roses on Mica sheets and on paper in 3 different colors. Fallen Leaves & Acron from Versafine Clair and Stazon Jet Black ( for the mica sheets). And is have stamped the old rose with Flitterglu on paper so i could add Megaflakes.

To make the backgrond i had stamped the Bubble Wrap stamp with Versamark clear and than used the lucious powder. I had mixed some luscious powder with structure paste from IndigoBlu and used the Circle dot stencil (ind0548). After the structure paste was dry i stamped with the Acorn and Fallen leaves from Versafine Clair several grunge Dragonflies on the background. The finishing touch for the background was made with the Chicken Wire stamp, flitterglu and flakes.

Than i let it all dry very well and started by cutting out the roses i had stamped. Some of them completely and some of them just the flower or the branches and leaves from the roses.

To give it  more grungy look i painted some gaze with IndigoBlu in the colours of my layout. Let it dry and twisted it around the `branches`.

After that i made a composition with some branches on the right and bottom side, made from rolled cardboard. I put some flowers beneath the branches, and some on top or between them.

All of the items were glued with the Super Thick Slap it on. You can use also the ultra thick gelmedium of Talens. The picture of Ilunaneko as Queen of Hearts really fits to this layout. On top of one of the right  `branches` i have placed a dragonfly stamped on mica and flakes on the backside.

I really hope you love it. Please leave your comment below.

Just Always Friendship Art journal pages.

I started this new year with 2 new pages in my art Journal.

The firstpage is some of the new Indigoblu stamps vintage flowers IND0588. I coloured the stamp with my tombow ABT markers.  And after i coloured the stamp is sprayed it with a little water. Than is stamped it on waterart papier.

It gives a wonderfull vintage result. After that is stamped some dots and some extra flowers. The dots i stamped directly on the paper but the extra flowers and the text i stamped on another piece of paper. Than i cut out the flowers. The waterart paper was glued on the corrugated paperpage in my art journal.... the text and some extra flowers gave it a lovely result....

The second page i wanted to be a bit related but absolutely not the same.... which would not be possible also because the second page is a burlap page....

So i stamped the flowers and the circle on tissue paper and glued it on the burlap with the slap it on. medium....this is a matte medium...

And when it dried i put some clear gesso over it....

When it had dried over night i put some colour on the page with versamagic... .my favourite vintage ink.... To give it more depth i draw the flowers with ablack fineliner.... And the finishing touch was made with the chipboard text from 13@rts.

It is always such a pleasure to work with the products of my favourie brands.... IndigoBlu, 13@rts and Snipart....

I hope you like it... please leave your comments below....

Shadowbox Merry Christmas

I started with the basic softboard triptych shadowbox from SnipArt.

I want this shadowbox to become a present for my lovely mother-in-law. So the Rosy Cosy Christmas paper from P13 was the basic for the sides and back of the triptych.

In the left square i used some salmon Chrysanthum, some silver balls and stars, some red bell

To give it a nice, vintage look i used foamtastic Gaza, which i made silver with acrylic paint.

The Snipart Snowflakes & Stars were painted with the Inka Gold Silver.

Never use your fingers to pickup the inka gold directly from the pot it  can get moudly. Take some out with a spoon on your craft sheet, add some water to it if necessary than you can use your finger or a pencil the paint the softboard.

The banner on the background were made with the Bannerpunch from Vaessen Creative.

Offcourse red/white bakerstwine is perfect for the Christmas

In the middle i paced the Merry Christmas text from SnipArt. Offcourse again in silver with Inka Gold Silver..

To give a bit of sprakle is used the nice and glittering Acrylic Ink from 13arts. Never saw more glittering acrylic ink than this one. To lovely.
You really should try it....

The big flowers are Chrysanthum from mulberry paper. The holly branches and leaves are cut out of the Rosy Cosy Christams paper. from P13.

Offcourse again some gaza and bakers twine to make it a nice bundle in the lower right corner.

To give the flower a more vintage look i used a 'mop-brush' (sorry do not know the right name in english) and some gee-sssoo good gesso.

To give the leave and branches a nice look  i used Hint of Pesto Versamagic ink . Besides the bigger flowers is used some small red and pink roses from mulberry paper.
Offcourse again some silver stars and balls for the real christmas feeling.

The right part from the triptych shadowbox has some dotted paper on the back. The paper with the holly leaves was glued on some thicker cardstock with the red/white bakers twine under it. All this lovely paper is from the collection kit from P13.

The silver star are from SnipArt. painted with Inka Gold Silver . As is the ChristmasBall.
In the left corner some gaza and some small silver balls were used as a base for the little bells and the flowers.

Again some extra sprakle with the acrylink from 13Arts.

Every part of this Shadowbox was 'glued' the extra heavy gelmedium from Talens.

To put some sparkles on the back side of each part of the shadowbox i used the SlapItOn matte from IndigoBlu. This lovely medium is really matte and thin enough to use with a small brush. I make it possible to stick the glitters on the back side of each squar.

It was really fun making it... and i hope you like it... please leave your message below...

Picking up the Christmas Tree with the IndigoBlu Van

Hello Guys,

Do you all know the lovely pickture with the small car and the way to big Christmas tree.... that inpired me to make a special IndigoBlu Van.... with off course a very big Christmastree....

So i started with a small wooden van we have in the shop. It is a very peacefull one i can tell you...

I used some really good Gee Ssoo... with some sand from powertex in it.and painted is complete white.

And when it was still wet i experimented a bit by using somy dylusion spray and again some gesso to give it this light and cold blue color....

Than i stamped several IndigoBlu stamps on white tissuepaper with Archival Cobalt Blue. I needed a ink that is waterresistant.
I used the Circle Dot background stamp for the wheels. And the IndigoBlu Art Christmas Spirit, IndigoBlu Merry Christmas, for the rest of the van.

After stamped on tissuepaper i cut it out and used SlapitOn Matte to 'glue' it on the van. Tissuepaper is very strong so is does not tear as fast as the kleenex tissues.... And because the Slap it On is a very matte medium you don't see the 'glue' on the background. And because the tissuepaper i used is very thin, you can use it both sides... so it give you extra possiblities to use the stamp also as a mirror image.

And when everything was dried...  put the tree on the roof with some blue and white bakerstwine....

It was so much fun making it... hope you all like it... and wish you and al your beloved the best Christmas.... and a wonderfull, creative IndigoBlu New Year....

With love

Adventure

I love to make mixed media and especially as a present for some loverly familly or friends.

My dear friend Monica visited her father lately in Norway and send me some wonderfull pictures. With this one i new exacley what to do with it.... making a special chirstmas present for her.

I started with a 20x20 canvasboard. The edges i made blue with my favourite Versamagic Ink Night Sky GD56.

Then i found the perfect paper for my project. In the Blue Magnolia Collection from 13arts (13@rts). It has a wooden look in dark blue and black. Offcourse i ditressed my edges.

To give it an nice structure on the back side is used a mask from DDBD with snowflakes. And this time i used Viva Decor Eis Effect Holo (113990550) as a structurepaste.

When it dried a made the composition with the picture and some cardboard with a fine sturcture.

And several lovely items from Snipart from the Frosty Moments Collection.

I used  FroKru2SB, FroSmo2SB and the Big Snowflakes. The text adventure is also from Snipart Create Art XXL CA14x26CB.

To give them the perfect color which matches with the picture i used Inka Gold Tinte (124095036) AND Old Silver (120490936).

At first i used the ligh one and than when it dried i used the darker one.

For the text i used only the light one on top of the text and let i change color with the versamagic inks.

When everything was fit together is covered the picture and made some gesso splash on it and when that dried the finish touch was made with some mat medium from IndigoBlu (SlapitOn) with a lot of eiskristals from Viva Decor (6651)

It is lovely to make art like this, but even more special to make it for a dear dear friend. I hope she likes it.

Please leave your comments below... ask if you want... i would be honored to help you out.

Oh Deer Christmas Mixed Media

Hi Guys,

This time of the year is so lovely, with al those lights, wonderfull colours and eventough it sometime is difficult because you miss special persons.... i have decided to make every christmas special... not only for me but for them also....

I made a mixed media in a wooden display....with a lovely chipboard Deer from Snipart.

I started with one of these open displays.

But i wanted to make a box, so i put some greyboard on de backside, which i made more inspiring wth the 13@rts paper from the Christmas Traditions  paperpad.

There are some lovely Poinsettia's on it and some holly which i cut out.

You can layer those very easily and the result is quit nice i think.

Together with Pionsettia is use some Guirlande with crystals .

They are coloured with Inka Gold in a golden colour.

It gives the chipboard a wonderful shiny colour.

On the bottom of the box i put the Deer with some mulberry paper Gardenia in Burgundy

To give them the vintage look i used a small amount of white gesso with al very soft brush.

The softboard Deer has some brown stripes and shades made with versamagic ink Gingerbread.

The golden decorations and pearls makes it a really Christmas Mixed Media.

Oh Deer this was so much fun making it....

I really hope you guys like it... and oh dear keep crafting....leave your comments below.

Acrylic Pouring | Timeless Memories

Hi guys,

I think you have already seen or heared about Acrylic pouring... and nice technique with acrylic paint. And offcourse  i had to try it out...

so my dear friend Alfie from Indigo provided me with quite a handy pouring kits....

the Indigoblu Acrylic Pouring Alchemy Starter Kit - and some lovely paints.

The metallic sleeping beauty, the translucent mulberry bush and the matte porcelain.

The lovely thing about those 3 colors is the difference between the shiny metallic, the matte one and the translucent one. And offcourse the white gee sso....

You start with mixing the paint with the pouring medium.

than you pour the different cups in to one cup. This ons you put on your cavas | canvasboard. And than just let it float around.

The silicon oil gives you extra cells.
Which you can make more off with a heatting tool on gaz.

After the canvasboard was totally dry.... it took quite some time...i decided to make a mixed media on it.

Timeless Memories....

Besides the pouring kit i used these items for my mixed media ....

Stamp IND0326, IND0447, IND0561

Mask BAM 1043 and a special edition.... (sorry that is not for sale anymore...)

13@rts Chipboard Clock HH12x12CB

Archival AIP31444

Watercolor paper 12x12cm

White posca pastel.

Inka Gold Tinte 120495036

I stamped some raster and spots on the background with black archival. Than i stamped the bulbs, the butterfly and Text on watercolor paper with cobalt archival. The chipboard clock was colored with Viva Decor Inka Gold, and also the little clay embellishment. I put te foto on some dark red cardstock and some greyboard to lift it up a little.

The bulbs and texts were colored with the Indigo Blu paint (put more water to it to make it more translucent and lighter)

I thickened my paint with the 13@rts magic powder, so i could use it easily with my masks.

When everything was dried i put this project together with extra thick gelmedium from Amsterdam.
At gthe end i did some stripes with the white gesso and the posca pastel.

It is wonderfull to keep those special memories in this way.... I hope you like it... leave your comment below and keep crafty and keep memories....
