Christmas Cards

Vintage Christmas....

The lovely papers from 13@rts Christmas Traditions are absolutely and totally Christmas. In warm red and green with nice designs and vintage look.

So it is easy to work them out to some loverly christmas cards.

There is also a sheet with al kind of flower, wreath and holly branches. 

So i cut out one of the wreath, to some cardboard, some red/white bakers twine and a big dark red gardenia.

From the red paper i made a smal banner with a punch.

After everything was put together and dried i made the gardenia more vintage with some gesso and a mop-brush.

In this card i put the red paper with al the loverly Christmastext on some white cardstock.

On top of this design paper i put a small strip with the checked one in red and green.

To give it more dimension is used 2mm foamtape beneath it.

The lovely chistmas balls are from Snipart....
On the back of the bulb i put some paper with the holly leaves.
For the finish touch is used the vintage drops from nuvo in postbox red. It has a matte look.

The checked paper had also some gesso lines for the extra vintage look.

And the red cardstock for the basic puts it al together.

Congrats Magnolia....

When you see those beautifull magnolia's from 13@rts... 

you just start to smile and want to create something... 

So i made this card for deze friends with Magnolia paper and transprant sheet Bonjour Paris....

Industrial Peenemünde | 13@rts

Made the layout with the wonderfull paper of 13@rts, structure paste from #vivadecor and offcourse the lovely gears from #snipart....


The location was very inspirering for making photo's. Peenemünde a rocket launching plate in second worldwar. So more porjects will follow...with those wonderfull papers of 13@rts Grungy Walls....

How to

I starten with the 12x12 page. Distressed it with a distresstool. Collored the sides with brown ink from Versamagic. It gives your project that matt look i needed for this layout.

Also the gears in softboard i colored with the versamagic. I really love that ink...

Than i put the scrappage on some greyboard. And i use a mask with the vivadecor sturcture paste. This paste has a sanding color and structure. but with the little gold sprakles it is really stunning.

Several extra papers, some lace and offcourse the picture completes this layout. Than i covered the pictures and made some splats on it with black gesso and some nice extra circles with paint. At the end i put some word stickers on the layout. those are also from 13@rts. One of my favourite brands...

Starting my own blog...

I thought about it several times... why o why should i start my own blog...

the answer is actually simple...

For my shop De Foamtastische Huiskamer i make a lot of samples, but not all of them are on that website or the Foamtastic Ladies blog.

So this is actually my archive of my creative expressions....

My creative work started in my early youth. But never but never thought i could make a living out of it with the shop and workshops. Now a lots of years further and wiser LOL.... i am happy about the projects i make. Not all State of Art but they are all made with love and devotion.

And i think it is a pity i haven`t kept all the projects or at least have pictures of them bundled in a book or something like that.

So that`s why i have decided to start my blog.

I have also decided to write it in english so my dear crafting friends from all over the world can read it...

I really hope you enjoy reading it... and i will do my best making more creative projects....
